Latitude Adjustment III

Just wondering if anyone has heard from the crew on Latitude Adjustment? Hope all are doing well. Not familiar with sailing, just watching from the website. Dr. McIntosh is our boss. Any info would be great. Thanks

We have news from Latitude. "The wind sucks!"

After getting a great start - 2nd boat across the starting line (the capt. and I met racing small sailboats, so I know his starting line strategies - Good job!) - they later got into heavy waves and "blew out the headsail". The grommet where the jibsheets attach ripped out, so they've repaired it as best they can for now.

The winds have been so light that they once were actually going BACKWARDS ! There was no wind, but there is a current out there, so they drifted backwards for awhile. Yesterday, they cooked steaks on the grill and went swimming (wow, that's light air!) Anyway, everyone's okay, and being the very wonderful and positive thinking men that they all are, they are making the best of things and still enjoying the trip!
