Waiting for Robert in Memphis

Postby johngytri » Sun Nov 16, 2008 10:45 pm

I just returned to Memphis today, 16 November. I was hoping I didn't miss Robert passing by. I checked his position when I got to my crashpad on Mud Island. To me it looked like he would be by anytime. I tried to call him with no luck, so I went out to the river to wait for him. There is a boat ramp on the north end of Mud Island. While waiting I helped a couple guys unload an ATV from their boat and pull the boat out of the Mississippi. They said they saw Robert about 10 miles upstream. I waited until the sun set and went back to the crashpad to check his position again. He set up camp about 1 mile from where I was waiting. He called me awhile later and we agreed to meet at the boat ramp on Monday morning. I'm going to put his canoe and equipment in the garage and take him into town for provisions. He sounded great and in good spirits.
