The 2009 Annapolis to Newport Race will begin on Friday, June 5, 2009. Approximately 60 boats will make their way down the Chesapeake Bay and then up to Newport, RI. Please feel free to register and post race-related comments to our discussion board.

By viewing the tracker you can see that the forecast light air followed a southwesterly is working its way through the fleet. Block Island is reporting a westerly at 4 knots. Rambler finished at 09:16:06 for an elapsed time of 44 hr 36 min 06 sec. The course record held by Carrera is 42:58:12.The Jackal has reached Annapolis after retiring yesterday. Kathryn and VicRic 2 are headed up Delaware Bay. VicRic 2 reports an illness, but no injuries or damage.
