What's with the ratings? What? Oh........... Never Mind

I am normally a crew member of Amadeus and so I have been following them and their class closely. As of last night Amadeus had the highest rating in her class and everyone owed her time. This morning if you go to the race results published by the race committee, every ones rating has changed. Some in her class have gone up over 100 points. Some have gone up 50- 60 points. But Amadeus has gone up 2 point and they are now the scratch boat. Some body appears to be pulling a fast one. Since when do ratings change in the middle of a race????

This is VERY distrubing. My brother is on Amadeus, as well as many close friends. But, regardless of my personal connection, this situation is very bad for everyone connected with the race. Let's hope it is just one of the many errors that has been posted on this website.

I just went back to the race results and they have been corrected. I'm going to keep an eye on this, but it would appear that the situation has been resolved.

jondavis, can you please go back and change the title of your post? Cheating is a pretty strong word for what was probably just a data error, and it casts a negative pall over all the hard work that lots of folks are doing just so we can share the experience.

You will note that the web page states that the race committee used the word "cheating" to explain their decision to limit updates to 8 hours. I had just read that and I guess I plagiarized the word. No disrespect meant to the committee.
