***GO NAVY!***

Beginning Friday June 15 and Saturday June 16, the Marion to Bermuda race experience is fantastic; the beat out of the Bay, the storms and the calms, the Gulf Stream guessing game and the smell of bougainvillea as you approach Bermuda and the finish line at St. David's Light. It has been a wonderful 30 years, starting from a race that began with two old sailing buddies talking about racing from Marion to Bermuda and inviting their friends, to each boat being tracked through satellite navigation for all the world to follow.

Wishing the US Naval Academy boats, American Promise and Swift, fair winds and following seas in the 2007 race to Bermuda! Navy fans are following your excellent progress even here in California!

AMERICAN PROMISE appears to be leading the pack, at least on my computer screen! Stay safe and reapply the sunscreen. Can't wait to hear the stories once you arrive in Bermuda! Take pictures and use the calling card :lol:

Swift Arrives...

Swift crossed the finish line early this AM. Quote, "It took almost 2 days to cover the last 70 miles. Oh, by the way, Bermuda is gorgeous."

Thanks! Have a great time in Bermuda and a safe trip back to Annapolis.

Congrats to all the crew on Swift for another solid race and another strong 2nd place.
