Susan:
Thirty five years at RYC, known Pete Sr and sons most of that time. Cheering for them to duplicate the last crossing.

sunday AM 10:00
Yesterday was tough. sinnfein took a hitch to the west traveling perpendictular to the rhumbline for 15 miles to get into the current from the warm eddy. Selkie had already taken the westerly route and in 1 day went from 20 miles behind to 35 miles ahead. During this time Sinnfein was slugging it out w/ Emily in the middle of the pack. It appears to me that at this time the wind crossed the nose and boats were forced either east or west.
Hiromaru was leading the east boats up till this morning until Siren beat them out. It will be interesting to see how well the eastern boats prevent themselves from getting pushed too far east when they get into the stream.
Right now Selkie is in the lead with siren slightly behind and to the east. Sinnfein is the furthest boat to the west, and should turn left to follow selkie 25 miles astern.

Sunday 5:40 pm
Sinfein has finally tacked toward bermuda. They now have Emily on their stern.
Selkie is still 30 miles ahead of sinnfein.
Hiromaru is back in 2nd place, but on the east side of the rhumb line.
Sinnfein should be entering the stream shortly. Its hard to see from the data.

Go Sinn Fein Go.... you are going faster than your class mates! We are all watching your progress and given the wind and waves it is your weather. You are the talk to the club! And we are passing around the article that was in Spinsheets, you are still famous! The very best of luck and skill for the next 200 miles. It is hard to watch, I want to be sailing!!!
Next time!! Wish I could greet you all in Bermuda but I can not make it happen. You make it happen...Only 200 miles to go... sail fast!
